As you get ready to study in Canada at McMaster University, we invite you to join us for our Ignite Program, a first year pre-orientation program designed for international students staying in residence.
The Ignite Program will take place from Wednesday August 21st to Friday August 23rd, 2024 and will offer international students some of the following benefits:

- An opportunity to get your basic settling needs organized, including your bank account, mobile provider and on-campus residence needs.
- A chance to make friends and connect with other international students attending McMaster University.
- A preview of university life at McMaster University before all students arrive for the Fall semester.
- Information related to student services and getting involved on-campus.
- An opportunity to meet with your Faculty and Academic Advisors
The Ignite Program is open to students who will be living in residence and off-campus.
**You MUST participate in all 3 days of the conference to participate in the Ignite Program**
As a participant of the Ignite program (who is staying in Residence) will be able to move into Residence as early as Monday August 19th, 2024 for no additional cost to you.
This program is limited to 100 participants and will be on a first come, first serve basis.
There is no additional cost to you to participate in this program. With that said, participants of the Ignite program are expected to fully participate in all 3 days of the program.
If you register for the program and do not attend, you WILL be charged a no-show fee.
